Great Truths Trust will strive to ensure that its finances are safe, used only for its charitable purposes, and properly accounted for in a transparent way. To do so, it will ensure that it has:

• adequate internal financial controls so that all funds are secure and recorded, only spent on our charitable purposes and at less risk of theft, fraud or cyber crime;
• establish and regularly review a suitable risk register to enable us to manage all risks effectively, especially financial risks and communicate such policies through our annual report;
• set an annual budget that is realistic and ambitious and is reviewed and approved each year by Trustees, allow the Trustees each time they meet to discuss the latest finances, including management accounts and budget versus actual figures; and
• an adequate reserves policy, accurate financial records that detail the money received and spent by the charity, and an expenses policy that is clear and transparent.

Central to all of this will be having robust administration, clear communication, and effective trustees who will be eager to comply with their responsibilities.
